Presentation &Composition:
Water Soluble Powder Each gram contains 200 g Oxytetracycline HCl.
Indications
Oxytetracycline is indicated for prevention and treatment of:
In poultry:
-CRD and CRD complex
-Sinusitis, infections of upper respiratory tract
-Gastrointestinal infections, bacterial diarrhea (e.g., white diarrhea in chickens caused by salmonella pullorum, paratyphoid and idiopathic diarrhea.
-Fowl cholera, Blue comb, Hexamitiasis
It is also used for prevention of weight loss and decreased egg production in cases of stress and infectious diseases.
In calves and lambs:
Prevention and treatment of intestinal infections, acute and chronic bacterial diarrhea, white diarrhea caused by Salmonella spp.and E.coli; and idiopathic diarrhea
In dogs and cats;
For prevention and treatment of gastroenteritis and infectious diarrhea, urogenital infections caused by oxytetracycline – sensitive organisms
In fish:
Treatment of ulcer disease caused by Haemophilus piscium in brook trout
Prevention and treatment of furunculosis caused by Aeromonas salmonicida in brook trout and rainbow trout, columnaris disease caused by Flexibacter columnaris, red mouth disease in trout, cold water disease or peduncle disease in trout and salmonid
In bees:
American foulbrood and European foulbrood
Dosage and Administration
In Poultry:
For Prevention: 30 g of powder per 100 lit of drinking water (1 sachet per 1500 lit of drinking water)
For Treatment: 60-125 g of powder per 100 lit of drinking water or 1 sachet per 360-750 lit of drinking water; for 3-5 days. (Dosing schedules are depending on kind of disease)
In young animals:
0.5 g of powder per 10 kg of body weight
In adult animals:
2.5 g of powder per 10 kg of body weight
Withdrawal Times
Poultry:
For meat: 7 days
For egg: 7 days
Cattle:
For meat: 10 days
For milk: 4 days
